  • Yes!

  • The first contact can be a free phone consultation of about 15 to learn more about Bending Willing Counseling.

    Initial appointment (intake) will be 60 minutes with me gathering background information as well as goal setting. Initial appointments are $140.

  • As I am currently doing my private practice part time, my set hours are limited. I will respond to emails and calls within 24 hours, not including holidays.

  • Yes. Sessions are confidential. Your comfort in our sessions is of utmost importance to me. There are reasons that I would need to step outside of confidentiality: your safety, safety of others, and complying with court orders. These will be further addressed and expanded upon at the initial session.

  • Sessions will typically last between 45-55 minutes. Sessions over 55 minutes can be scheduled in advance. The first session (intake) will be an hour (60 minutes) as it is an information gathering session.

  • At this time, I am not accepting insurance. If you have insurance, you can request a superbill to submit to your insurance provider to request reimbursement. Superbills do not guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you. HSA/FSA cards can be used as payment.

  • Currently, I do not offer a sliding scale fee. We can talk about session lengths that can best meet your needs or I can refer you to other providers that offer a sliding scale.

  • I am not a doctor and I cannot prescribe medications. I can help clients find a psychiatrist or other medical professional to prescribe medications.

  • Teenagers and children have their own unique needs. I do not have the necessary training to provide adequate services for those age groups.

  • No shows will be charged the full fee of the missed session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged $25 for the missed session. Frequent cancellations may result in higher cancellation fees up to the full fee of the scheduled session.

  • All sessions are online/virtual at this time. When I am able to move into full-time private practice, then I will have a physical office space for in person therapy sessions.

  • A willow tree symbolizes new life due to its ability to be grown from a cut branch. I would like to say that is why I picked the name. That happens to be a happy coincidence. The reality is that willow trees are simply my favorite type of tree.
